Great place with great people! I am from Texas, where people are very proud of southern hospitality, but I have experienced nothing but hospitality my whole time on the North Shore. Amazing people here, and an amazing part of North America!
Then we split the maple-bacon chocolate chip cookie sundae & a brownie sundae between the three of us, just scrumptious!
Ordered the Friday special, all you can eat fish. Ordered mine with hash browns, extra crispy, and it was just right! They wasted no time getting the extra fish we asked for. The fish was very mild and tasty with a very nice breading, crispy on the outside and tender inside. The tarter sauce was just right, not too salty and the dill added was a nice touch. Asked for vinegar and got it in a cup, dipped the fish into that, and then into the tarter sauce. Just wonderful! Looking forward to coming back again!

We found this place by accident coming home from a day trip to Grand Marais. When I saw the location(next to a hardware store!) I was leery, lol. But this place is a hidden gem.
Top notch quality. Seems like everything is made from scratch and delicious. Warm, cabin-like atmosphere. They almost sell themselves short by calling themselves a "family" restaurant, which evokes images of screaming kids and frozen chicken strips. This place, however is a place that you would actually WANT to take your family to and give them some really GOOD food.

We were there at a off time(just before 4) so it was dead and the service was great, but the food was just stellar. From the perfectly crisp half order of onion rings we got as a starter, to my patty melt, my son's French toast & my daughter's chicken strips, this was simple food but done very, very right.
Smoked ribs were delicious. Salads are great and they have half sizes. Award winning burgers. Nice ambiance. We will be back.
